Special Chants for Monks (Before Reciting the Pāṭimokkha) If a junior monk confesses to a senior monk.[1]
(JUNIOR MONK) Subbha ṭā āpatiyo ārocemi (Three time)
Subbhā garuḷahukā āpanṭiyo āroyemi
Ahaṃ bhante sambahulā nānā-vatthukāyo
āpanji ṭā ṭumha muḷe paṭidhesemi
(SENIOR MONK) Passasi āvuso ṭā āpatiyo
(JUNIOR MONK) Ukāsa pansa bhante passāmi.
(SENIOR MONK) Āyatiṃ āvuso saṃvareyyāsi
(JUNIOR MONK) Sādhu suṭṭhu bhante saṃvarissāmi.
Duṭiyampi sadhu sudhu bhanṭe saṃvaḷisāmi
Ṭaṭiyampi sadhu sudhu bhanṭe saṃvaḷisāmi
Ṇa puṇevaṃ kaḷisāmi
Ṇa puṇevaṃ bhāsisāmi
Ṇa puṇevaṃ citasāmi
